Next spring I was thinking of doing a elm root over rock bonsai and I was wondering if you had any good tips or ror bonsais you would like to share. All information on ror is appreciated.
Be critical in the right rock. Lots of places for the roots to hold onto, else for the rest of your life you will be pushing the rock back into place..
Personally I dislike the ones perched on top of a smooth rock, so I would look for roocks with a crevice to plant, and start with young plants, not grown trees. All roots need to be very pliable.
