So here we go! As purchased from local nursery for a staggering £6!

I was impressed with the michorriza on this


I scraped off the woodchip from the top and sawed the rootball in half

There weren't really any I would consider too thick bit I cut a couple anyway, I put it in a large pond basket with free draining soil and selected my branches,

And here it is so far:


The bar branch looking first branch on the left is actually another trunk I didn't notice when selecting




I may keep it or I may find its attached lower when the time comes to dig deeper from the top!

Another Mugo off to the races! Good luck.

At some point you’ll want to sort out the multiple branches on top. But give this guy a chance to strengthen up.
