Potential crabapple mame?

Hi friends. I'm new here. Have been lurking for a while.
Recently repotted this apple I got 2 years ago. It was extremely rootbound. Its bouncing back nicely.

It really needs a haircut. Planning on doing that coming fall. I am thinking that this could be a nice looking big mame, or a small shohin.

I'm planning on giving it an trunkchop next year or the year after that. Still deciding what I'm gonna chop. Both could be a cool front imo.


Any thoughts or tips?

Unless that diagonal line smooths out, I don't like that for a front, it and the rounder spot are too eye catching.

Sucks cuz that seems the best top's front.

Thank you! Happy to be here. I actually kind of liked the diagonal line. Luckily it still has a long time of growing ahead of it, so more than enough time for me to start disliking the diagonal line

Going to a bonsai show coming week. Will probably pick up a finished bonsai. Hope they got some cool maluses or prunuses. I adore fruit trees.
