So, I was checking the roots on one of my Tiger Bark Ficuses and noticed some yellow mold or fungus. I left it for a while and checked again a week later and it has spread. The tree is doing okay, but has a bit of browning at the tips of two or three leaves. The stuff is only at the top of the soil. Any tips on what to do? I live in 5b, Illinois, United States.

I would lightly remove with an old toothbrush...
then watch your watering, your soil is probably
staying to wet.
