I’m currently growing a pomegranate tree/bush from the seed. It’s been a couple of months now I think and the plant has been growing incredibly quickly. I’m noticing on a small leaf some spikes that I do not want. It is also growing into many different sprouts. I do not know what to do, whether to trim later. I want it to be a regular tree without thorns. How should I go about it?

Firstly, pomegranates have thorns. Thats just the way it is. Secondly, those do not look like pomegranate leaves. Unless they look very different as seedlings.

I think you're growing a weed there mate, pomegranate leaves shouldn't have spikes

This reminds me of dichondra. It is sometimes used as a groundcover or in lawns, but it's basically a weed most of the time.Screenshot_20241212_221355_Google.jpg
