Maybe Texas Ebony?

I don't believe so. Texas ebony does not have a terminal leaf at the tip of the leaflet and also has too many leaves per leaflet.

Unfortunately no. Ebenopsis all appear to have no terminal leaf to the leaflet and too many leaves per leaflet.

It seems as though your tree is not native to the US, I don’t know.
If no one can solve this mystery, it might be fun, entertaining, and worthwhile to reach out to the Crime Pays, but Botany Doesn’t guy. He seems very knowledgeable about plant species all over the world.

Well, this seems to be about the closest thing I've seen. It's got too many leaves per leaflet but the branching seems to be correct, it might be the right species. I'll try and dig a little deeper into this one an see if I can find a variety that is closer to the one we're searching. Thank you for your input!
