hello, i'll try to show the evolution of this small picea glehnii clump.
I bought it in 2019 ->

some trees where suffering being so tight and with humus, so, in march 2020 i repotted the group in draining substrate and separate the groupe to give more room and more light ->

the group in the soil (march 2020) ->

the group removed from the soil, and still in the pot in october 2023 ->

On march of this year, i repotted the group into a nice shell pot (from the potter Josef Rauscher) (price is only 45€ for each shell)->

I prefer the shell on the right..

A few virtuals of the future eventually. I want to represent a rocky island with some spruces growing on it ->

the group in the ground to grow again with draining substrate ->

the group today with a few buds ->

last autumn, i reduced the crown of the main tree.. But contrary to what I expected, it didn't produce buds near to the cut... Now i have buds only at the base of the shoot (i learn from my mistakes, but lost 1 year of growth) ->

Amazing! Where did you buy the ezo clump? I'm not able to find ezo spruces in italy or online

hello, i found them in a french nursery (pépinières botaniques armoricaines).. but it isn't picea jezoensis, it is picea glehnii.

you can picea jezoensis (ezo spruce) seeds here ->

Well actually, might seems funny to you, but picea jezoensis isn't ezo spruce, picea Glehnii is the real ezo spruce

i searched a little, and i couldn't find picea glehnii seeds neither.. curisously. But picea jezoensis seeds should be fine too ?

Can you send me the right website of the nursery that sold you the ezo clump? I tried to google it but i don't know which one is the right one, also not knowing french doesn't make it easier... I want to see if they ship to Italy, so next winter i can try to order them

Mr Le Cam never had a website, word of mouth was enough for him.

He will soon be retiring, or maybe he has already retired because his phone number has been removed ->

It's been 2 years since I've been there, i don't need to go to his nursery to buy JM cuttings anymore because I can now multiply my JM by layering.. So i don't know if his nursery is still opened or not ..

you can find a phone number here, It costs nothing to try but i'm pretty sure he doesn't have any picea glehnii anymore, he mainly produces JM 2 years ago ->

Yesterday, i removed the tree from the soil, to cut the roots.

The tree on the left side (that i repotted with bare roots) died..

But there are new buds on the trunks on the left, that will, maybe, create new branches in the future ->

the roots cut ->

after a light trimming and after wiring the tops ->
