Greetings. anyone care to take a stab at identifying this critter on a FIius tree? Did some research and sorta narrowed it down to a few possibilities but I want to be sure. Its difficult to get a good picture. They're hard to see without magnification, so this is my best attempt. One of the images shows some white stuff/deposits on the leaves which might be related.

Thanks in Advance for your help!

The bottom picture shows a springtail, which are safe for plants and beneficial.
The top picture shows scale deposit (minerals) from your or your sellers water. Some rainwater showers can help clear that up.

Thank you! I had ordered bonides neem oil to treat the tree, but if they're not harmful I might try lowering the humidity first.

Why would you want to lower the humidity?
When you identified them as springtails I looked them up. A few search results mentioned they show uo when conditions are too humid.

I fertilize once a week and mist almost daily so maybe cut back on the misting? I don't think the population is out of control but I'd like to keep that in check. My tree is indoors and I have a few orchids.indoors as well.
