The hardest part of this hobby for me is keeping my fingers off... sigh.
You're about at that point where it will come naturally.
All I needed was one year to witness untouched growth.
Never gone back! It's amazing!
Try to keep a good assortment of stuff that needs work at different times.
With my handful of each of mugos, spruce, Boxwood, junipers, and random deez, it seems I always have something to do.
Tune them FVG'S!
The longer you sit and simply stare at a tree, the easier it gets to lock in the vision and put reasonable years out dates on work. Once you get that one lower branch to grow thicker than a top one...and the vision starts fruiting, and what you thought would take 3 years changes to next year, you'll be there!
Don't forget about the Giant list of menial tasks that each add a little bit of health and beauty to your grow outs!
Soil surface refreshing.
Trunk brushing.
Old nubs cleanup.
Accent planting.
Bench wipe down.
Pest search.
Staring!
Maybe you should put a new Avatar!
Symbolically....
You are still flying on that wheely....
When you come down, all will settle in.
I remember when you got here.....
There was a few other Ohions came on too....
You are about the last one from that Era who remains!
And I'm enjoying your journey!
Especially the pond!
