Overwintering Transplanted Airlayer

Hello,

I made my first attempt at airlayering this year. I was successful in a weeping forsythia, two thick (4 in diameter) mulberry, and an azalea. The weeping forsythia rooted the best whereas the other three I probably should have left on longer. I also messed up the roots while cutting them off the tree. Thankfully they all survived and are producing new leaves. My question is, how can I ensure the mulberry survives. They are too big to bring into my house. Thank you in advance.
