These two paintings will be put into a pair of scrolls for the artists University Art Senior show. I love these paintings, because they are a little different from his other works. I am grateful that he puts his trust in my work to create something incredible to match his works. You will notice a container of Dousa Eki, which I applied to the areas bordering the red sumi. The reason for this is that red tends to bleed when applying the first layer of backing paper called Hada Urauchi in Japanese.

Very cool!!! Would love to own them.

After 4 failed attempts I had to put them on panel hari....but here is the finished works. I tried mounting them with several techniques such as Sageboshi and Jikoku Hadaurauchi and couldn't get it to work, so I framed them this way instead.
