heya!

I had to attend a family event and was off for over a week so I let my roomates in charge of taking care of my bonsai.

I explained them how to water it and when, also showed them the trick with the toothpick.

When I came back... my bonsai looked like this :(

I asked what happen and they said, that it was raining and they did not bother with watering it, also there was some hot days and it still had enough water.

I touched the leafs, they are not dry, none of the leafs are falling off at least, but... I really dont know what happen and how I can fix that :(

Probably doesn't like being sideways.

Other than that, it looks OK to me.

Soak the entire pot in water for several minutes and hope you got to it in time. Looks still okay though. Good luck!

It looked a lot more greener and uh "better" to me before I left.

Is this the way they do semi cascade in Ireland?

It looks like it dried up at some point. If you look at the moss in the before and after photo. The moss is much greener in the before photo.

Looks like it either dried out or maybe an animal came by and urinated on it. Changes like that do not happen in a week unless there was a severe event.

You should add more bonsai soil to the top to protect those exposed roots. Also, keep the soil moist, but not soaked. Keep the tree out of direct sunlight for a couple weeks. Maybe a couple of hours of morning sun might be ok. Also, no fertilizer until it starts recovering.

I might add some blood meal and take care of it myself for a few weeks - white leaf where I am usually means lack of nitrogen... just my thought, it still looks fine to be realistic and I would not go overboard
