Here is my new procumbens [the wicked stepchild of junipers ] from NEBG. Very happy with it. Thinking of a traditional 8-9" rectangular shaped pot with flaired sides.
Not sure if I should reduce enough of the root mass to get it into a bonsai pot this season or if I should put it in a training pot this spring and bonsai pot the next to reduce the root ball over two seasons. What do you think? Any pot recommendations? The tree is 16" tall, 20" wide at widest section, and trunk diameter is 1.25'' It's currently in 7" of soil in the nursery pot.
Thanks!
