New JBP, Need advice!

Hi Everyone, I just need ideas on styling this black pine. I'm new to all this and not sure if I picked a good starter or not. I'm also curious if I can make it grow on a large rock or not. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bit hard to style seedling with no branches. I think you'll need to grow this one for a few years before you can do much styling. I'd be transplanting into a larger container to allow some insurance against dehydration through summer and to allow it to develop a bit faster. While it's growing do some research. Try to work out what size and shape you'd like to develop. In the initial stages you can really only have a broad, general goal as the tree may not grow as expected and will usually change drastically as it grows and thickens.
