Even though not in the Greensboro area, the next 2 meetings of the Bonsai Society of the Carolinas will be worth the drive. Our August Meeting will be 8/24 at 1:00pm at UNCC's McMillan Greenhouse with guest speaker Arthur Joura, Curator of Bonsai at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville. He will be updating us on the upcoming Carolinas Bonsai Expo (2nd weekend in October) and whatever else he decides to share with us. You can find out more about Arthur and the bonsai at the NCA at:

As much as I am looking forward to Arthur's 18th visit, I am even more excited about our Sunday September 1st meeting at 10:00am with Bjorn Bjorholm at the Bonsai Learning Center in Mooresville. I have few details other than Bjorn will be demonstrating in the morning and having a BYOT workshop in the afternoon.

Arthur's talk will be free and open to the public. Bjorn's demo will be free and open to the public. The workshop is $65 for members, $95 for non-members with a $10 Silent Observer Fee.
