National Arboretum Fall Visit 2013

The fiancee and I decided to visit the National Arboretum on a spur of the moment idea. We don't live too far away from DC but it was a pretty nice drive out there. We typically like to go to the mountains around this time to check out the Skyline foliage color change. But, instead we headed to the arboretum.

I've personally never been able to go when the bonsai tree's change colors. It was a first for us and we really enjoyed seeing all of the trees that were on display. We saw this and thought it was so appropriate since halloween had just passed. We have more pictures haven't uploaded them yet. I just wanted to post this first.

Not familiar with that tree. Might be one of the curator's or assistants. I particularly like the accent to the right. I need to get down there too. Thanks for bringing this.

If i remember right, I think I remember the info sign said it was a hornbeam.
