Nandina

Good start. Just forget about making it into a "proper" bonsai.............whatever that means. They don't behave like any other species I've raised. Just let it grow and make something that is pleasing to your eye.

Hello all, i have Nandina domestica and i am thinking about for wintering outdoor. I live in Sofia, Bulgaria with avg. min. winter temperatures around -4/-5 degrees Celsius. I had bought portable greenhouse, and thinking to cover it up with extra stretch folio for extra protection. What do you advise me to do?

Thank you!

I think wintering outdoors would be OK. They are listed for US plant hardiness zones 6-10, which seems to correspond with your location.

Nandinas grown in the ground are fully cold hardy in my climate. We usually have lows in the same range numerous times a year with occasional temperatures much colder. At -5C I think that protecting the roots by burying the pot in a mulch pile would be fine. No greenhouse necessary.
