Been lurking for a while but would like to get some input on what to do with this pronana juniper I recently got a nursery. I am only a year into bonsai and I am hoping to use this tree as a good practice tree. I have thinned it out, but other than that, I have not made any drastic changes yet.

So the main general question is:

How do I handle the 3 large branches?
1st option would be to choose a better tree. Agreed. Past that now
2nd option would be remove the top curved branched. Unfortunately this branch has the most growth, so removing it would be a bit brave this late in spring. I fell I could manipulate the other two branches to be usable.
3rd option would be to leave the major curved branch, Jin out the other large branches and guide it to a semi cascade. (not a fan of full cascades)

Any other options I am missing? Obviously it is going to come down to a matter of personal taste, just would like to see how others would handle it.

Thanks for any feedback

Hmm... maybe you could consider trying some heavy bending techniques? Not sure how a procumbens would handle that.

I think you need to find the most compelling trunk line first. The other two branches could be jinn.

Also worth considering which branches have foliage closer to the base. Juniper are reticent to back bud so your lowest foliage will become your lowest pad in time.
