Someone on Facebook mailed me two plants as they were cleaning up their yard. The one on the right is a bougainvillea? She said she might send a Natal plum? Is that the one on the left? I am new to both of these species, any guidance is appreciated!

If you’re in NJ, it’s unlikely a bougie would survive in the yard. The right one looks more like a euonymus of some type, left looks dead, and I wouldn’t hold out too much hope for the right one either, but good luck.

I was suppose to have this plant ready for showing next week, should I be concerned?

just get some leaves and flowers from the silk plant store, glue them on. You'll be fine
Great idea, now I have to find my Michaels Coupons...
We should just start a new category...Trees That Once Were...I have a few that are ready now!

I won’t bear to let the old lady know…the few dollars shipping was worth the laugh.

Was it the lady from phoenix? I got a few from her. I’ll bump my old thread with some current pics. Btw both bougs just old. If it’s who I’m thinking of, they were planted in 1988.
