bonsai barry
Omono
I picked up this eight foot "Weeping Elm" for nearly free from a defunct nursery. They didn't really know what species it is, I'm guessing it might be a Ulmus 'Camperdownii' (weeping elm) grafted onto a chinese elm. The camperdownii leaves are probably too big for bonsai but I figured at that price, I might as well get it to practice my --usually unsuccessful -- air-layering skills. Afterwards, I can chop the trunk and try to get a nice broom style from the chinese elm portion.
