I started this from seeds about 8 years ago. Drilled holes in a oven baking pan and fed the seedlings through the holes...and set it in the ground.
It has fused well over the years, but still has some way to go. The main trunk in the middle has unfortunately died off a few years ago. That left it with all the other trunks growing outwards...which complicates things some...but I can work around that. I have a new trunk to fill that space that is progressing.
This is what it looks like now...

Long way to go, but something like this is my eventual aim for it...

Great result and a good use for an old oven tray! Take note, people who say they're too old for seeds - 8 years!

I just went through my phone album and picked out a few photos over the years. I remember I had ones of the oven pan and the seedlings in it...but can't find it.
The photos are a bit random...but you'll get the picture i'm sure.

Make both :p
I love clumps to. With the same technique I made a 3 and 5 trunk.

Problem i'm having is all the branches are facing to the outside. I'm still in the head scratching phase about how I let that happen...and what i'm going to do about it

I shall learn from your experience and hopefully do mine differently

I base mine off Björn’s video on YouTube but he used JM, trident looks way better for its gnarliness
