Be neat to make a small cascade pot ?
Actually i have a Mame cascade planned with a Chinese elm clipping that is perfect for it.
ill definitely post when i make it!!
I know a lot of purists don't like the idea of a 3d printed pot but hey its almost 2023 lol

Must start learning about 3D printer ( i sell the product in my shop )
yeah 3D printing is amazing, you can make anything and everything , check out the website called thingiverse , its full of free files you can make.

Can be done with ceramic:confused:?
Sadly, it seems fine, hand thrown pots are not as appreciated by the younger, instant gratification oriented set. 3D printed anythings have a certain 'zip, bang, golly, gee whiz' factor that makes them cooler than an actual peice of art.

I guess that just means us curmudgeonly old farts are left to appreciate the beauty and skill in a well executed stoneware pot. At least until the younger ones grow and mature enough to get beyond the juvenile attachment to gadgets. And that's just fine by me 😏.

I wasn't going to respond but your arrogance got to me.
Let me break down what you said..

"Sadly, it seems fine, hand thrown pots are not as appreciated by the younger, instant gratification oriented set."
Not true go on Instagram or YouTube. ART is at an all time high with more artists and aspiring artists than ever throughout history.... O and i am an artist ill post some work :)

Is todays age rushed ...Yes ofcourse, but i took something from nothing printed it ..then sand and paint and clear coat... so not instant.

Cant argue that ..definitely curmudgeonly ..as for appreciating stoneware...Not only do i appreciate it i have watched almost every bonsai pot making on YouTube and have been applying to my potters guild for 5years now. its very hard to get in you pretty much have to wait till someone dies for a members spot to open.

Im sure a cell phone/computer is in your hand as much as the next persons welcome to 2022.

What actually pisses me off about your comment on this post is the fact this was just supposed to be happy proud look what i made post and you had to turn it into a generation unappreciation rant.

I uploaded some of my art in oils and pastels that i dont appreciate for your viewing pleasure

Of course!!!
Just need the proper space and a kiln!
I talked to a lady with a kiln she fires up to cone 6, she said she can teach me a couple things and fire for me when she finds some spare time so here is hoping!!

Can you send me a cascade pot when you figure out how to do it ?
I can send you something from New Zealand in return :)

The little stand is cool, but I prefer wood verse plastic.
100% agree with you on the wood , im actually just building an oriental themed plant stand for inside , maybe ill add some little stands as well lol
