This mulberry is growing along my fence at work. I have been thinking about digging it out next spring. I am just wondering what you folks think? Is this tree worth trouble? And if so should I do any trimming this fall?

Its your back. I wouldn't take it.

Is it a no just because of the size? Or not enough potential? I do have access to a forklift to help pull it, for what it's worth.

Its a personal thing. If you see something there and have the means, then it isn't a no for you, but a go.

Thank you for the input! I honestly am going to have to really look at it to see what I could do with it. It may just get cut down to get it off of the fence.

Do it. Could be a fun project and at the very least you will learn something. If possible wait until March to cut back and dig.

I would go for an air layer on a section with some taper and movement in the spring if you are dead set on getting a mulberry. Best of both worlds and saves your back 😉
