Got this from eBay for what I believe is a good deal. :D As if I need more tools but cannot resist. Except for the wire brush, all are Japan made. Supposedly, most are Kiku but a few are Masakuni and Joshua Roth. I will know more when I receive the lot next week. Can't wait.

Dude, you are the master of scoring tools. How much did this bundle run you, and how did you know the brands? You need to teach me the ways, or let me borrow your rabbit's foot for a day.

Let's just say about 2 new tools worth. ;) Of course some of these I do not need but they are freebies in my mind.

The brands were mentioned in the listing and about half I can read/see when the pics are super sized. There were lots more (close-up) pics in the listing BTW.

I just browse the listing regularly and always start with the newest listed. The good deals (esp Buy it now - which this is) go fast.

I am most definitely in the market as my super cheap concave cutters don't even match up anymore after removing a few juniper branches. I will be buying quality this time....thinking about trying Ryuga SS.

I believe this manufacturer is same as Ryuga for a lot less. Check his listings and if you need anything...contact him and he will list it for you. He offers both stainless and carbon steel tools. I bought a stainless knob cutter & wire cutter from him and both matches the Ryuga exactly (100% except the brand/mark).

I am intrigued by the Masaaki brand (never heard this before). The tools look & feel high quality but online search got no hit except another person asking about it also.

Anyone know anything about it?

How do you get those bundles? Are you ordering individually or getting bulk lots?

Got some opportunity to play with the Kiku tools last night and they performed really well. Very sharp and cuts properly. All still have factory edges and only one have a tiny blade chip (the root cutter).

I think the slim concave cutter will get lots of use in the future. It is like a hybrid of scissors and concave cutter. A real nice addition to my daily use tool and the one I like most in this lot. :)

Used the root cutter yesterday while repotting a buttonwood that needed some big (2") roots reduced...it cuts like hot knife on butter. I am amazed!

Nice. I also got a new pair of big root cutters(like 13"), and I am pretty pumped to give them a go this repotting season. Have you used that root scythe yet? That is the tool that interested me. Looks nice for getting trees out of their pot, and potentially cutting rootballs down to size. I havent stumbled across a nice quality scythe yet. Im also slightly jealous about the 11" masakuni tweezers. You can have the lot, bu tI would have taken the tweezers and scythe lol.
