Mold or Fungus?

While checking on my Bonsai today I noticed a new white covering some of my branches today. The white is coverinh the top side of branches and mostly smaller branches. We had three straight days of rain here in Chicago and we a warmer than usual without snow. Bonsai is in grown with pot covered in Cedar.

Appreciate the advice, if an issue I cannot resolve I will visit the nursery.

Doesn't look like more than old needles gone white from a fert.

But that ain't conclusive.
