The slanted one? I believe it's cedar. I'll double check tomorrow. I'll also get closeups of the spectacular shohin!

Yeah looks like Blue Atlas to me.

I'm in Petaluma. I was thinking about checking it out on Sunday.
 
So is this just a display in connection to the fair? The email that was sent out from REBS made it sound like this was your annual show.
 
I had a wonderful time , watering the trees in the quiet morning, learning from fellow club members, and chatting with the public.
I think the best part of having a show at the fair is that many people who would never think of going to a bonsai show, or even seen a real bonsai, were drawn in and awed. The kids had playful imaginations, putting themselves in the miniature worlds. And adults varied from quick looks to awed contemplation to rapid-fire questions, to appreciation of the dedication and beauty.
Can't get much better than that!
