I was just watching this video:

He indicates a couple of interesting things - firstly, that older chojubai shouldn't be fertilized much, and secondly, that Magamp-D should be used when you do fertilize.

Magamp-D is the same as Magamp-K, but D has pesticide in it.

I found Magamp-K here:

I was curious if anyone had experience with it?

So I got my hands on Magamp K which is the same thing as Magamp D other than D has pesticide

What I have found is that it does not dissolve in a basket, and I suspect it does nothing in that form.

In the video, he puts a few dribbles in the soil before potting it up - I suspect this is a very, very slow release fertilizer that breaks down very, very slowly and should, in moderation, be used as a part of a potting mix. This is an early assumption based on what I've seen it do in baskets on the surface.

Long story short it's probably kind of dumb and not worth pursuing, but I wanted to see what happened just in case it blew my chojubai up.

So far, for flowering species, this is the best I've found

I used to use it in pellet form and am still forming an opinion around it in granular form. Pellet form, flowers blew up. Granular, I'm not sure I've noticed a difference yet. I do not think we can get pellet form right now because NEBG is the only place I found it at and it's not there now.

I saw this same video a little while back, was also interested, and forgot haha.

I’m just watching a video on ‘Wabi Channel’ called ‘Repotting Maple and Fruiting Bonsai’, and the host (I can’t recall his name but he *owns*? S-cube in Japan); and he also mentions using magamp to ‘double fruit production’.

There must be equivs available across the rest of the globe?

Anyway, i don’t have anything much to add aside from that
