There is nothing you can do now but leave it alone until next year. Is it a willow?

Yes it's a dorf weeping willow bonsie tree

And location Colorado

where in CO? I am in Denver. welcome to the forum. As other people indicated, put your bonsai outside and keep it out. Make sure to water when the top soil is dry, better to do it around noon in our weather, if not, morning is fine. And go to the next meeting of the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Association in the Botanic Gardens (Denver). They will discuss how to overwinter bonsai in CO.

Just a question, if it's a dwarf weeping willow, wouldn't it be better to keep the soil constantly moist, kindy like swamp cypress, or would "normal" watering methods apply? They grow at the rivulet near my house like crazy and its constantly marshy and swampy there.
