Thanks for these suggestions. I had a pleasant evening looking at some great pots. I was excited until I remembered that I'm buying the pot for someone else... but you can always squeeze an extra one into the box!

Rob macgregor is also an American potter that makes nice stuff. He has some stuff on eBay and is always selling on bonsai classifieds in Facebook.
Also jack Hoover of eagleville pottery is another american potter with nice stuff. He also has some stuff on eBay.

I sell bonsai pots when I get them in. I normally get some that have been extremely discounted, but most are from China.

I met him in person at a bonsai festival in 2014 at the national arboretum. He has some amazing pots! Couldn't afford some of them but they are none the less beautiful!
