Toward the end of the season I start begging my wife to take pics and put them on my digital picture frame.
This is an unknown variety that popped up in my Jacky Hillier Elm, pot made by me and glazed by my wife.image.jpg
Sawara Cypress in a pot by me.image.jpg

Cool little soldiers they are. That soil doesn't look the same as the sample you sent. Is it different?

Thanks Vin! Nope same soil. Exact mix I sent you and all I ever use :)
Here is my Willow Leaf Ficus in the Sonny Boggs pot I got from you Vin, it is 16 years old now.

Ah the very first picture! Some sort of conifer ! Let me know if you find out what it is I have a really big one I've been working on for about 3 years now that I collected in ky. I belive it's some sort of cedar maybe. Does it have a strong aroma? Mine is very strong but haven't quite figured out what exactly it was !

The Cypress has a thin layer of what I call top dress grit, but underneath is the same soil, but that is the only one, it looks good around rocks, I think. That grit is sized to 1/8 inch clean and is the byproduct from my soil.

It does have a strong odor!
I am having lunch with Leon Snyder Thursday, he is a retired Mizzou horticulture professor and Bonsai collector, I hope he knows what it is!

Yes it will fill a room quick especially after a pruning . This one I collected 3 years ago and it got lost in the pile until I got bored one night . Long way to go

The Ficus that had Figs, that I did the (my Ficus has little balls) thread about. It is from the days of wiring trees too small, too much :)image.jpg
