Legacy Japanese Black pine

I few years ago I purchased an old japanese black pine from the Pacific Bonsai Museum during their one time reduction sale that was posted here in this forum by one of their volunteers.
Those that have seen the thread know this tree had some trauma from the shipment over from the west coast to the east coast.

This tree has since made a comeback and it has been wired twice now by me in workshops with Bjorn and now with Tyler Sherrod.

I am happy to report that this tree is starting to settle into its design as a bonsai and would like to share a few photos of the journey over the past few years.

You have done a great job with the tree and it was really nice to get to know you at the workshop. looking forward to seeing the tree in an upcoming show :)
 
Looks...sad in the first image. Second image...was a relief to see it doing so well. You couldn't see what was there. You definitely did well by the tree. Kudos in seeing it healthy and prospering as bonsai.
Thank you for the kind words. Its has definitely had the journey the past 4 years
