I know it's difficult to work with this species but here's my first lawson cypress tree. I was thinking about what should I do with this one since January. And this is the initial design of the tree.
I'm planning to push down the current apex a bit after yellow marked area filled up more.
The trunk base is weak right now but I think it will thicken in time thanks to the spreading roots. I'm planning to slip-potting the tree in October for pushing the tree to thicken the trunk base. I will give the tree some time to grow before move it to the bonsai pot.
What are your thoughts about the tree?
