This is my first contest and pretty excited about it. Still pretty new to Bonsai in general so looking forward to this. Went to a local nursery looking for a suitable candidate and couldn't come up with one. Good ol Home Depot came through for me. Good luck everyone!

So I did a repot yesterday and some work on the tree. I am a little embarrassed about how it came out haha. I will work up the courage to post some pictures over the next couple days. I am still in the " trying to keep trees alive stage." Haha

I think your Mugo is safe, amigo. You reduced enough to address the taper issue (as we tend to find with nursery material). Only suggestion is partial ️ light for two weeks and then full sun after.
