I would love to get my hands on this species again. Fell in love with it during my trip to Hawaii in 2002. Tried and failed with 3 different color varieties in Fl in 2010, due to the trees being, well, in Florida.
Bet I could grow Metrosideros polymorpha well outside here from April - October and in a sunny window the rest of the time.
