This is my shimpaku I got from my ‘intro to bonsai’ community Ed course.

After my first overwintering of this tree, -Over the late winter/early spring- I started to notice the brown tips.

I figured it was a little die back.
It’s progressed and am now thinking i may want to do something.
Fungicide?
Should I treat it for blight?
Any help🙏
Thank you.

People on this site, generally, are too quick to jump to the conclusion that an issue is related to disease or pests in my opinion.

I think this issue, like most, is more likely root/water related. Was it exposed to a freeze after the tips started growing?

Hmmm. Very possible it got frosty after it started growing. I had many little trees in a new foam frame shelter this winter. It was set to 36 degrees in there. However I did encounter some nights where the little fan heater didn’t keep up. Noticed it down to 28 degrees in there a few times.
Will be replacing heater situation this year. 👍

If I notice it getting worse Maybe I should consider a repot or other treatment. 🤔
Thanks for your reply!

Juniper tip blight would show through black patches on every single scale 'leaf'. If those black spots aren't there, it could be something else.

I know right! I not sure either, but it looks like it could be, hopefully someone will confirm it for me.
