Hello everyone,
I have recently acquired a juniper procumbens from a family member and it is in pretty bad shape. A lot of the branches have died off about half way. What I am wondering is if I cut it back to where it is hardly alive, will it start new shoots of the branches? This would be my first juniper procumbens and just looking for a little insight .The branches are very "scraggly" and looks like its under a lot of stress. The tree itself has some very nice movement which is a plus!

Thank you.
