I have a shimpaku that has been on a rock for three years now. Today I noticed some browning/discoloration on old shoots, but growing tips are still green with the browning originating from the branch in some instances and in others the tips are browning and going backwards the branch. Wondering if anyone has seen the like before and can help with potential cause. Localized to one area. Just getting into the growing season in zone 7 Pennsylvania IMG_7510.jpeg

Im the first pic I see a copper wire with discoloration in grey, it seems to be biting in the branchlet and the discoloration seems to be sap+copper.
I think it's wiring damage.
