Just got a new juniper at a local nursery this week, it was sold as pre-bonsai and cut back at some point. Has a really nice 1 1/2" trunk. However it does look a little more brown than my others junipers I've had. Does this look to be an issue? I believe it is a green mound as well.

Thank you!!

as long as the foliage still feels normal...not brittle and dry...I think you are just seeing winter color for junipers. For me, the junipers that have the most exposure in winter always show some color like this...will turn green again in the spring! no worries...

It's possible it's just winter color but I'd check for spider mites by tapping the branches over a piece of white paper and see if any of the junk that falls out starts to look like little specks running around in circles. Here they can be an issue year round -I'm not sure about where you are.

I'm in northern, Va. Zone 7a ..... Thank you for the feedback, the needles do feel normal and none fall off to the touch. The nursery had this in a greenhouse for the winter so I assumed everything would be okay. I will check for spider mites tonight.

Thank you!
