There are several large mature Pinus thunbergii trees at my work. Last week I collected a few dropped cones and extracted a handful of seeds. I did the wet paper towel in a bag method, and noticed that one has germinated! Should I plant that one now, or wait until the root grows more. Should I wait until some of the others pop? I was going to just plant them in bonsai soil, or is there something more appropriate for pine seedlings?

I use peat and perlite or coco coir and perlite for my pine seedlings. Seems the most idiot proof. I can't even do seedling cuttings right but I can grow them in the aforementioned mix.

Plant them all in the soil @Str8madness mentioned. JBP don't need stratification, so just plant them now.

Once they start growing, make sure they get sun and fresh air.
