The trunks you see are all sacrifice trunks, the eventual keeper trunks and branches are the little patches of foliage you see near the bases. A few of those could be wired next year.

These look like they're on a similar path to mine, mainly growing out that first trunk section and keeping low shoots alive. How are their Nebari?

Frankly, their nebari mostly suck.
