Anybody interested in itoigawa shimpaku juniper rooted cuttings? I take these every year and these were taken spring 2023. After selling the bulk of what I had from 2023 I am left with what you see. They did not appreciate the repot this spring and have thrown juvenile foliage. They are starting to come around. Just need a little more time to grow in somebody’s patient garden. I'm clearing out some material and would like these gone so they’re discounted.

$5 each. Will discount if buying more than 2. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Hi All,
I'm responding to all your messages in the order in which they were received. I will keep you updated.

thanks for the interest!

Good Morning All,
I'm still working through the messages in the order in which they were received. If you haven't heard from me yet it's because there were folks before you. I will continue to update as the cuttings are claimed.

thanks all for the interest.

If you don’t mind my question, but how do you take the cuttings. I have another Shimp that I’d love to take some clones of.

take cutting in spring, dip in rooting hormone and plant in straight perlite. i park them under by bench in the shade and try to keep the foliage watered once a day or so.

How long does it take before roots appear? I would love to try this with a neighbor's Alligator Juniper. I've been unable to find very much information on this species, so perhaps your Itoigawa method will work for this species. Do you use lignified or new growth?

Not brand new growth. You can usually get cuttings to root up to pencil thickness. If I take em in spring, I usually have roots by August.

Ok I’ve received a lot of messages. Apologies if I didn’t get back to you. All but the two below have sold.

First one that wants em and comments in this thread gets em. $10 plus ship. As a reminder these will require some love to get good and strong again which is why they are so cheap.

Thanks all.

I got mine today. Very happy with the cuttings. Good size and very well packed.

I hope my video can answer some of your questions; If your species roots from cuttings (Must junipers do I find) than this should work. It is not complex.
