Is it Black Spot on Chinese Elm ?

Hi,

These black spots appear on my tree about 7-8 days and turn the leaves colour to yellow and finally leaf loss.
Is it fungus? watering every time the soil gets dry i try to water it

I would recommend a fungicide.

I hit all my trees this year with Bonide Infuse a systemic fungicide. Then a month later I followed up with an application of Daconil. Next will be an application of Mancozeb. It is a good idea to alternate with different types of fungicide to prevent the fungi from developing a resistance to it. By being proactive and staying ahead of infections I have managed to prevent the leaf spot and other fungal infections like happened last year. Since many fungicides generally only prevent new infections and cannot really cure existing ones, if you wait until you see the visible signs it is too late. The best you can do now is keep the tree healthy and prevent new infections.
