Hey guys need some id help again, 🙈 normally the picture this app is quite accurate but it's been confusing me regarding these cuttings I took... So it's Rocky mountain Juniper or creeping junipers or an alligator juniper lol the second cutting is a range of cedar or Cypress there is a slight color differentiation between the 2 but if I look closely some of the leaf scaling is so similar

Most Cupressaceae have similar looking foliage.
To identify them correctly, you'd need a picture of the bark; is it scaly, flaky, smooth?
You'd need a picture of the pollen cones and berries too; cypress berries are woody, juniper berries are softer. The color of a juniper berry can tell a lot. Pollen cones in cypress are way larger than most junipers.
Pictures of the whole plant and close ups of the foliage are needed too. A scopulorum juniper variety blue arrow will look the same as a glaucous italian cypress.

And sometimes even then, we can't tell.

Thanks guy... Aha I realised they aren't like other species where just the leaves alone is enough to make a + id...

Small observation: Both foliages appear fine as Juniper, not more coarse as(American)false cypress🤔.
