I've started a flame tree from seed, and everything was going great, it was thriving, growing so fast and thick, and I repotted it, and it's lost so many of it's leaves and branches. I was super careful, but it's dying so quickly I don't know what to do. I have it on a heating pad in a sunny window, cause it's gotten unseasonably cold, but it hasn't been growing any more branches, the leaves are browning and falling off. They're not even yellowing first. I have no clue what to do, and would really appreciate the help.

Sorry to hear about your seedling! I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along to help soon so I don't want to guess at solutions based on what I would do as I am not familiar with flame tree.

In the meantime, when they get here they will probably ask for pics, so if you can upload a pic of the problem will save some time later!

I had 5 seeds germinate last year and repotted them 2 weeks ago. I will post the video. 2 of the trees didn't skip a beat and I've already chopped one. But the other three pretty much lost all of their leaves, just dropped them no yellowing first. One of them now has several buds, even low on the trunk. The other two are not doing much yet but there really isn't much I can do other than keep them warm, humid and don't let them dry out. I will do that until I see some sign of life or death. I live in Florida so I my success and recovery rate would be much better than keeping them indoors.

Could be that the heating pad is a little too much.
High temperatures lead to high evaporation rates, and if the roots aren't up to speed this means it'll dessicate.
It's part of the reason why my summer repots tend to end up in disaster.

Alright, so they're basically having a plant tantrum and I need to wait it out?

Alright, It's very snowy right now, and it started dropping leaves when the frost came in, but I was pretty quick to put it on a heating pad, I just measured the temperature of the soil, and it was just under 70, is that an okay temperature? Or should I take it off? Sorry Im new to this and have no clue what I'm doing haha.

Temp not too bad if not drying out the soil☺️.

In temperate climates Delonix regia behaves as semi-deciduous or totally deciduous and come back in spring no problem at all, dont let it bellow 10cº though
