I dug these up from a forrest near me today. Anyone know the species?

I've put them in ground at home going to leave them there for few years then prune and put in pots. I'd just like to know the species and at what rate they grow if anyone knows?

Thanks Oddly_aude. Yeah they look like good little trees. The double trunk one will be coll in a few years time.

They appear to be Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas-fir). They are fast growers. Plant them in a sunny location.

In the 1800s, David Douglas and other naturalists brought a ton of their seeds back to your part of the world. (Numerous other western species as well)
