Are there no HVAC techs doing bonsai?

I always thought this would be a good tool for heavy bending.

Maybe a little raffia and wax paper to keep the bark intact.

Different size attachments for different size tubing (branches).

One could even rip copper tube lengthwise to support the outside of the bend, and leave it on after for support. Ends tied intact.

The ratcheting takes no energy to make a bend. With small increments possible.
One could make a few clicks every few days for difficult bends.

Just food for thought. Ideas?

Now that seems to be an interesting gadget! It amazes me how ones can make such amazing bends in bonsai. Curious if anyone has used this tool for such techniques. Clueless myself...never bent anything drastically in my short time in the hobby.

Why use the overly complex and awkward "ones" instead of just using "people"? Especially when you use other, more specific pronouns in the rest of the paragraph.

I have that bender in my tool box but, the one I have is too big and bulky. I would need a 14" strait trunk with no branches in the way.

Timetravel_0, As you said, who are you to tell someone to quit liking what they like:
This forum alone drives off those in that age range. Look through some newbie posts, and you can pick them out. Look at the behavior here, and you'll understand why....
b) If I'm doing something for enjoyment, and enjoying it, I don't really want to hear how I'm doing it "wrong". Who is someone to tell me to quit liking what I like?
Maybe it's time to step away from the keyboard for a while.
Who would think that this guy would get accosted for posting in the WANTED forum?

Some of you are WAY too full of yourselves. You really need to step away from the keyboard for a while.

We get it, you don't like cadillactaste for some reason. Stop accosting her and move on.

This is my thoughts after I saw that tool. I do not think it is useful for bonsai as it is. The jack branch benders do great job for me. Similar concept.

Musta hit close to home at some point in time.

It's cute, that you were able to remember what I said.

It's also cute to see you all throw yourselves down on the tracks for her. The same member that exhibits the same types of behaviors that has had others tarred, feathered, and run out of town for.

Fair play sure sucks, doesn't it?

Hi Sorce. Was just looking at different ways to bend big branches the other day. This looks like you have to really give a tree a "little bit of the business."
Which brings us to timetravel. It's not hard to remember what you posted. It's all down in print. And what's your problem with Darlene? You don't like nice people?
Wait a minute. Your one of those cyber bullies. Little people who sit on the computer looking for someone who you don't know to pick on. That's not you is it there timetravel? Because that is sure what it sounds like.
Cadillac Taste uses her ignore function so she doesn't have to look at posts by idiots. The rest of us though can see what moronic things you post. Give it up. She doesn't even see you.

Sorry Sorce. Just can't stand stalkers nor bullies.

By the way, I do have nothing but respect for Sorce, and thinking out of the box. There's nothing like learning hands-on.
