Naming trees is fun too. I have a Ponderosa Pine named Gnarles Barkley. Cause of the gnarled twist, and old bark.

Just start pulling countless picture frames of each of your trees out of your suitcase...
I also take the time to enjoy the big boys in the forests. Do you even see a really big tree and wonder about all the things in the world that have changed since it was a little sapling? Especially those massive sequoia in the states…imagine how much has changed in all that time! Oh if trees could talk, the tales they’d tell of a world when humans weren’t quite so invasive on the environment.

I usually blame the “can’t get anyone to take care of the pets in that timeframe”. The real reason is I don’t want to come back to dead trees as none of my friends are particularly adept at even keeping the most basic of house plants alive.
