Hi all,

I've never been very good at taking pictures of my trees, so tonight I set out to change that. I built my own light box from materials I had lying around the house.

Here's my materials:
-Box
-Box Cutter
-Wax Paper
-Poster board
-Tape
-Lights

First I got a box:

I then cut out three of the sides. I took a ruler and left a border of 2 inches:

I then placed the poster board:

And placed the wax paper:

Added the lights:

And snapped a couple pictures:

I think I'll add a couple more lights, but I think you all get the idea. It should work out well. Hope it helps and you all enjoyed!

Those lights look soft - what type of bulb did you use?

They give it a warm look and with minimum reflection. Reason I asked is I am having Grandmother make me a Quilted background that will be light wood in pattern (bamboo). After that is done I am mounting a shelf below and above it - the new no-bracket type very dark wood. I have been playing with different types of light LED remote control stuff to cast down light and cast some from behind the plant on display for photo's. That setup you have made gets the tone of color I am shooting for :D

Ah, I see. I actually have no idea what color bulbs they are . I have a Bearded Dragon and he uses those heat bulbs, so I think that's what is in the fixtures right now, one of his bulbs.

I made a bigger box for my bigger trees, but it still needs more light and an iron to it before it looks decent.
