I acquired this for earlier in the year. This is a slow growing variant and I couldn’t find much of a description of its use in bonsai - so I figured I should start documenting its progress.
Following the spring flush, over summer I worked through each of the whorls trying to get rid of bar branches. These needed attention since there’s local swelling due to the unrestrained growth of the pads so far. I wired it up finally yesterday. I’m a bit conflicted about keeping the lowermost branches in the left. For now I think I will postpone the decision until it gets repotted.
