Henry pine, fairly new species!

Those kind grow super fast - just don't try and layer them else you get twins

What a Cutie!

Great pic!

Only four months old but has a very fast growth habit. A little high maintenance for now but I think I'll keep him for life. This is one to invest some time in!
Love it, Aeast! Great thread...very nice to see young Henry getting an early start on his bonsai training!

Thanks, hopefully one day he enjoys this hobby as much as I do.

Wireme,

from my experience, just let him grow up.
I would always suggest lots of trees for climbing, fishing, bush zones to explore and an early introduction into READING.
My own grew up with Enid Blyton.
Sit and read to him.

Bonsai is an intellectual pursuit, and attracts two types, the superficial who wants to show off and those who really think.
Thinkers read.
Thinkers often create.
Thinkers often invent.

All of my sons are in Science Research over in Europe.
They have always read.
Classical Literature, Science magazines and stuff :)

Good Luck with the potential.
Good Day
Anthony

Someday, hopefully, he will get all the bonsai you are creating. Congrats

Lovely lil' one.

I hope that after taking the photo you didn't forget to put back the chain that can be seen at the top so the wind won't topple it...

Sorry Anthony, you've gotten posters mixed up. I can take no credit for that sweet little pine.

He's adorable, in the development stage he'll take all the fert you can give him and still go back for seconds (or thirds).

Thanks everyone! You're all right, he eats, sleeps and self fertilizes like crazy. Hopefully he turns out to be a formal upright, who stands for what is right.

I used to have one just like that, but I forgot to water it on a hot day. Oops
